When Gillian, YDMT’s Grassroots Grants Officer, isn’t hard at work giving out community grants she’s off doing far more exotic things! Here’s a photo of Gillian playing with the samba reggae drumming band she’s part of called Batala Lancaster.
This photo was taken at Roughbeats festival, an independent music festival in Clapham (also home of the YDMT office). Gillian’s band plays music originating from Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. There are only 17 other bands like it throughout the world!
