People and the DALES is a project run by Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust to help people to enjoy trips out in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The project launched in June 2009 and has already helped over 600 people to enjoy activities in the Dales – things like kite flying, nature walks, charcoal making, lambing, walk leader training, tree planting…. and much more. We aim to help groups who find it difficult to get out in the countryside, for whatever reason, usually from inner city areas in Yorkshire and Lancashire. Please contact one of our community workers Gail or Judy if you are interested in finding out more, or if you’re part of a group that would like to get involved.
